Luckiest Girl in the World!

I have so much to be thankful for, I really feel I must be the luckiest girl in the world!
Brent cleanning and re-caulking our rain-gutters. :)

I am so thankful for a wonderful fiance! I love Brent more and more and more every day! I feel so blessed to get to marry him! Brent is beyond my wildest dreams wonderful!! Last week he had some classes cancelled due to the holiday... so he came over and stained the pergola in the backyard for me while I was at work!! And if that wasn't wonderful enough... he also made dinner for me, so when I came home from work and visiting teaching we had a delicious hot dinner of Polynesian chicken ready!! Mmmmmmm!!! I love the way he compliments me and makes me feel like the most talented, beautiful, special girl in the world! I love spending time with him, I love getting to learn more and more and more about him! I love that he comes over and even VOLUNTEERS to come over and help with things around the house and yard! I love that he helps me take my coat on and off, I love that he carries my church binders around, I love that he opens the door for me, I love that we talk about and share our testimonies with eachother, I love that he is so involved in planning our wedding and reception, I love that he tries to think of fun date activities for us, I love that he smiles and laughs and makes EVERYTHING seem like the funniest event ever! I am so thankful and so glad for Brent in my life, he is the love of my life and has changed the way I view and love life, he helps make me a better person and always sees the goodness buried in me and accentuates it.

I love Brent's family and I am so grateful for them! I love how much they love and accept me and how warm they are towards me! I am so grateful they are willing to share Brent with me, I am so grateful for how Brent was raised and the incredible family Brent came from and how much he loves them! I love watching Brent's relationships with his sisters and his brother-in-laws and niece and nephew and I especially love his relationship with his mom and dad. I feel so blessed they would allow me to get to be part of their incredible family! I am so grateful for their support of Brent and I and their help with our wedding and our future life together! I am so grateful for their generosity! I love getting to be a part of their family, I loved getting to spend Thanksgiving with Brent's family! I appreciate their kindness in letting us use their Jazz tickets (so FUN!!) and taking us to Body Worlds (AWESOME!!) and to dinner! I can't imagine a better family to get to marry into!!

I love my family and am so grateful for them also! I love our funny stories and our laughs and crazy memories! I love that my parents love one another so much! I love that my parents emphasized the foundation and peace of the gospel in life. I love that my dad holds the Priesthood and could bless us all through life whenever we needed a special blessing. I love and appreciate my parents and family being so excited and supportive and helpful in planning the wedding and reception. I love that my parents are so supportive of letting Brent and I try to plan things (even though we CLEARLY have no clue what we're doing!!). I love that my parents think I'm special. I am so grateful for my family and I love them so much! I am so grateful families are forever!

I am so grateful for the example of selfless, sincere "angles" around me! Last Sunday during church I saw a girl come into Relief Society... she stayed only a few minutes and then left. The girl looked familiar to me, so after the meeting I asked another girl in my ward if she knew the name of the sister who had come and left so quickly. No one I talked to knew who she was. After church I was walking down to our "Linger Longer" and bumped into the girl I had been inquiring about! She actually approached me and asked who I was! Our paths have never crossed, but it was fun we both thought we should recognize the other! She talked to me for a few minutes and was so sincere about learning about me and my life. When she learned I was engaged she almost begged me to please let her help with something! She told me how great she was at serving food at receptions or dishing out drinks! This girl made my day! I am been feeling just a tiny bit worried and overwhelmed trying to coordinate people to help for the reception... and here was a perfect stranger I met who was so sincere in asking if she might help me! I am so grateful for our "chance" meeting!

I am so grateful for selfless neighbors and family members and friends who would volunteer to give me bridal/wedding showers! I love my aunt who already has a lot going on in her life and who is alive today because of SEVERAL miracles! Amid all her plans in life and her health issues she still called me up the minute she found out I was getting married and asked if she could give me a shower! What an example she is to me! Another woman in my neighborhood also called my mom to see if I needed a shower. I have been attending Student Wards for several years so I don't even know a lot of people in the neighborhood. I felt so loved that this woman thought of me and remembered me and wanted to do something to serve my mom! This woman has a son on a mission and a husband with cancer... AND was looking for ways to show her love for others. Boy this world is full of incredible people!! I am so grateful for their love and sincerity and generosity! I am so grateful for family members and friends who have left comments on the blog or sent emails or made phone calls to let me know they were thinking of me or excited for me! What wonderful people! I am so grateful to be surrounded by such people!! What a lot I have to learn from their examples!! I am so grateful for the many people around me who truly live like the words in Because I Have Been Given Much:

Because I have been blessed by thy great love, dear Lord,

I'll share thy love again, according to thy word.

I shall give love to those in need;

I'll show that love by word and deed:

Thus shall my thanks be thanks indeed.

Because I Have Been Given Much, Grace Noll Crowell.

P.S. I really do have great aspirations of taking way super cool pictures... this is for sure not one of them! But... speaking of nice people... my dentist (who has never even met Brent) gave me this gift card to give to Brent!! People are so wonderful!!

I can't believe that after all that love pouring out, only 1 comment has been made. What a sweet and loving young woman you are. We are so thrilled and thankful that you and Brent met. Just think of how life would be without each other! Isn't it wonderful that two people can come together so fast and relate to each other so good! Two lucky people....
You are a lucky girl and he is a lucky guy! See you Saturday. And it will be nice to meet the hostess of this shower. How nice of her.
