We Are Getting Married!

Friday night Brent proposed!! Whew hew, Brent and Cindy are getting married! We are engaged and getting married in the Bountiful Temple on Friday, January 2nd!
When I got home from work Friday evening I found a long-stemmed red rose and a very sweet note waiting on the kitchen table for me! Brent had snuck into the house in the middle of the day (with Amy’s permission) and created a scavenger hunt to lead me to a few of our favorite places! He left roses and notes at each spot telling me why he loved each place and his favorite memories of us together! At the last spot I found Brent with a ring!!
The first note told me he loved being at my house because when he was there he was with me. I then followed clues that led to the Adam’s Canyon trailhead where I found the second rose and note with his favorite hiking memories! The third clue was at Cosmos Video in Kaysville where he had rented a movie for us and placed it on “hold” with a note! Anyone who has been to Cosmos can imagine the interrogation and ordeal Brent went through to rent a movie and place it on hold for me to pick up later! (They even made him make his very own “Account” (filed on a 3x5 note card) because no Clayton was there to rent the movie on the Clayton Account! Brent had to shell out various forms of ID and credit card accounts before they accepted him as a potential customer!) We LOVE perusing Cosmos’s old Disney section… where else in the world can you find classics like “Mooncussers” or “The Strongest Man in the World” or “Charlie the Lonely Cougar”?! The last place on the scavenger hunt was Barnes Park where Brent was waiting for me with a ring! Barnes Park was the first place Brent and I talked! Last summer I had introduced myself to him at an FHE activity. I found Brent waiting for me at Barnes Park where he was absolutely shaking! He gave me another red rose, knelt down, opened the ring and asked if I would marry him! I definitely answered “Yes!!” It was absolutely perfect! We even celebrated by eating at the Olive Garden that night! My favorite restaurant has become even more of a favorite now!! I couldn’t think of anyone more exciting, creative, fun, thoughtful and selfless to spend forever with! I love the way Brent sacrifices and gives so much of himself to make me happy. I am one lucky girl!
Brent and I met at the University of Utah 32nd Ward last summer. The first thing I noticed about Brent was his happy personality, his smile and his laugh! Whenever I describe Brent to others in the ward they always respond by saying, “Oh, the guy who is always smiling!” Yep, that’s Brent! I always loved searching Brent out after church or at ward activities because I liked talking to him and getting to feel his happiness for life! Every date and every day with Brent gets better and better! We have had a lot of fun hiking together, COOKING together (you all know what a MIRACLE it is that I would actually COOK, and an even more gi-normous miracle to actually LIKE cooking!!), eating Fazookies together, and renting old Disney movies from Cosmos Video together!

Alana is calling us the Bride and Husband-Bride! Apparently she forgot the word "groom"!

Yay!! I'm so happy for you!
Congratulations to the Bride and the Husband-bride. I like Alana's take on it. "Groom" always reminded me of Ramona Quimby (remember that book?).
I am so happy for you, Cindy. And Brent, just a warning . . . this girl eats lettuce with chocolate sauce!!!
WOOT!!! This is the ONLY valid excuse for quiting the carpool!
Hurray! I love the pictures you both look sooooo HAPPY! Congratulations
Congrats Cindy and Brent! I am so excited for you! You look so cute together and I know that you will be so happy! You almost made me cry with your story. I love to hear how much people love each other!
Cindy! How exciting! Congrats! Can't wait to see more pictures of this cute guy! And Bountiful is the best temple to get married in...that is where I got married. :)
Now I can blog stalk you, Brent gave up the info. It was fun to look at some of your older posts and learn a little more about you! Every time Katie sees Brent now she asks where you are. You are now officially her favorite person.
A mom is always happy when her kids are happy. I have never seen Brent happier which has made me ecstatic. Thanks for loving him!
Welcome to our family, hope you can handle our weirdness!!
Hey, Miss Cindy Murray! I am still so stinkin' happy for you and your husband-bride! He must be a pretty neat guy to deserve you, Cindy. You sound so happy! Aaaah! (Scream of happiness.) I love his proposal! I can't wait to meet him!
This grandma is very happy for both of you. To find each other is one thing, but to fall in love and have so much fun, is quite another. I hope this excitement never leaves either of you. We are ALL very happy to welcome you to the family. Life is a journey, enjoy it!
