Upgrade!

I upgraded my study spot, whew hew!! For the last year or so I have been studying in my closet... I have a small typewriter stand my laptop will fit on, and I hold my books on my lap while I sit on my exercise ball or my super hard wood chair (luckily Amy made me a pillow for the chair!). Sounds pretty creepy and stocker-ish to be hanging out in the closet for extended periods of time with a computer. But the closet has a lot of super perks! I recently got a new BRIGHTER light fixture, it stays nice and warm in the summer, there isn't TOO much to look at to distract me when studying and it is quiet. (It also shares a wall with the kitchen pantry... so it makes a really great spy center to listen to what Amy is snacking on... yah, that goes back to the creepy stocker-ish qualities though...)

As of tonight I have upgraded my study chamber from the closet to an extra room in the basement! Exciting!! I have a window and a desk!! And my laptop and book BOTH fit on the desk at the same time! Whew hew!! I actually had the desk in my room... but I don't really have good lighting in my room and the desk had a hutch on it that prevented my laptop from fitting on the desk... but I got aggressive tonight and removed the hutch from the desk (I didn't break anything) and carried the desk down two flights of stairs ALL BY MYSELF to the basement!! (I admit... there was a point in time on the first set of stairs where I questioned if I had chosen wisely or not...) I am pretty sure I killed a Hobo spider in the garage today... I cleaned the garage because I found another super creepy spider in the house last night! I don't know what the house spider was... but I'm pretty sure it was deadly poisonous because I tried spraying it with spider killer and it REFUSED TO DIE!! I ended up trapping it under a Tupperware container until it would die! I thought that spider was the scariest spider of my life... UNTIL I was cleaning the garage today and saw a spider that you could eat as a meal... this thing was HUGE!! Ahhhhhhhhh!!! I screamed! No one was around! I drenched the mammoth spider in gallons of spider killer until he finally died also! I am pretty sure I've seen this spider's picture on the Hobo Spider website!! After killing two spiders within a 24 hour period AND cleaning the garage I decided to reward myself BIG TIME and moveed my desk downstairs to create my own office/study area. I'm not sure how spiders and moving desks are related... other than the fact that I had so much adrenaline flowing from the spider incident that I guess I just needed to carry around large heavy objects!
