Tagged a While Ago!

My friends Melissa and Karen both tagged me many weeks ago... Melissa suggested since I was tagged twice, I write 7 random facts about Brent and 7 random facts about me. So... here we go... it will be fun to see what Brent's reactions are to my 7 random facts about him!

Brent:

*Brent is an only boy with three sisters. He has a really fun, happy, friendly, very accepting family! I met his mom on our first date (we came back to Brent's house to bake brownies). I was so impressed with his mom and how friendly and happy she was. I always loved when we would stop over at Brent's house and I could see his family and get to watch them interact with one another, I especially loved (and still do love) watching his parents and how they like to do things together like going for bike rides or even taking a dance class together. I love being around Brent's family and seeing where so much of Brent's happy personality comes from.

*Brent smiles ALL THE TIME! The first thing I noticed about Brent and one of the things I love most about him is his smile... and I love that he is smiling all the time!! Tons and tons of people describe his as "the guy who laughs a lot" or "the guy who is always smiling". Brent told me there was a lady on his mission who called him "Elder Smiles" (or maybe it was Elder Smiley)... anyway his smile and optimism and cheerfulness distinguishes him!

*Brent is WAY, WAY, WAY creative!! As an accountant I think I'm pretty clever when I use different color binders to organize stuff. Brent on the other hand is an architect... WITH REAL creativity!! He makes cookies that spell words, he can come up with incredible designs for his school projects, he comes up with all sorts of fun date ideas, thinks up hilarious pranks, and came up with the perfect, creative engagement story ever!

*Brent LOVES sports and food!! I used to think that I knew a little about sports... I can name a couple of the Jazz players, I can figure out rules in most the sports I watch, I usually see a few Bees games each year and a hockey game and typically go to one Jazz game... I have even recorded March Madness before so I could watch it later! Pretty sporty huh?! Now that I've met Brent I know what a sports guru is!! He knows ALL the Jazz players, including facts about them their schooling, their family, their life story and how they play. Brent not only knows Jazz players, he knows the players on the other teams and their life stories as well! Brent not only knows facts and people and plays and rules about basketball... he knows all these details for a bazillion other sports also!! He probably knows more than ESPN!! Brent not only knows all these facts and is super brilliant at remembering them... he is also incredible at playing sports!! He loves ultimate Frisbee and golf and basketball and baseball and racquetball... and people love to play with him cause he's so good!!

*Brent also loves food! No wonder we get along so well!! :)

*Brent is in the Architecture program at the University of Utah and will graduate with his Bachelors Degree in the spring. He will have two more years of the Graduate program. Brent currently works at an Architecture firm in Salt Lake.

*Brent went on a backpacking trip this summer to Glacier National Forest with some of his friends and had MULTIPLE bear encounters!!!!!! Ahhhhhh!!! Luckily Brent's INCREDIBLE muscles must have intimidated the bears cause luckily none of them attacked Brent and his friends!! Crazy, crazy!! Brent does have a lot of FANTASTIC pictures from his trip.

Cindy:

*I LOVE to visit the dentist!! I get so disappointed when the dentist tells me I have no cavities!! Luckily I have such bizarre teeth that even when I don't have cavities I still usually end up coming in for other "emergencies".

*I am totally a clean FREAK!! It makes me crazy when things get cluttered around the house or in my car!! I LOVE the feeling of cleaning and vacuuming on Saturday afternoons!!

*My dream job would be to give financial consulting to low-income families. There are so many fun financial options in the markets and I would LOVE to share them with low-income families or immigrant families who might not have the opportunity or means to afford a financial planner.

*I rarely drive the same way to/from work. I love to find new roads and new routes to get places and I love to change up the routes so I don't drive past the same locations every day.

*I love the 4th of July!!! What a fun Holiday!! I love that we get the day off work to be outside in the sun all day long!! I love the Kaysville 4th of July Water Parade!! I have never seen such chaos and frenzy before!! Last year there were some injuries (including a life-flight) so I'm pretty sure the parade will be a little more controlled in the future... but it was sure fun while the madness lasted! :)

*I love gardening... actually it seems like I THINK I love the idea of gardening... but I never have had a summer where I actually made time to garden! I love looking at fun plants and planters and dreaming up all kinds of fun gardening ideas for the yard!!

*I have a rare talent for looking really odd and weird and terrible in pictures!! I think pictures stress me out... so in my stressed out state of mind I try to pull these wonderful smiles, but I always end up looking really.... strange!! From time to time my family will even do impersonations of how I smile for pictures!! It is absolutely hilarious!!
