Sunshine at Causey!

Wahoooooo!! This last weekend was AWESOME!! Super duper weather, warm sunshine, a stay at the cabin, AND a canoe ride on Causey Reservior!! The Reservior is filled to the top!! Dad and Kris worked REALLY hard installing a BRAND NEW gate for Causey (a fancy solar-powered electronic lock now instead of the old key lock) while the rest of us went CANOEING!! So much fun!

The Set Up: Kris is on the ground working on the gate (with various assorted tools in the background), Dad up on the ladder... notice all the straps tied to the ladder and around the ladder, true Clayton character right there!

Aren't you intrigued to know what the heck they are looking at so intently?!! I bet they are carving their initials!

Notice how the ladder is TIED to the pole... makes me think there must have been at least one "incident" to make them realize the ladder should be tied to something... makes me also wonder who and how they tied the ladder to the pole....
The REAL party! We actually did go to the cabin for a Girl's Night Out... Dad and Kris just happened to come up and work on the gate! Here is Kim, Amy, JoyAnne, and Joni getting ready for a canoe ride!! Wahoo!
This picture of JoyAnne makes me laugh... Look at all that water!! This is usually a dry stream-bed right outside our cabin driveway.
Also LOVE this picture of JoyAnne. We (the girls) actually loaded up the canoes AND the trailer all by ourselves!! But when you are a Clayton you get to do things the Clayton way... we weren't able to strap the canoes on very well... so JoyAnne, Amy and Kim got to sit on the back of the trailer and HOLD them on!! Haha! Luckily nothing and no one bounced off the trailer! AND on the way back JoyAnne and I loaded up the trailer, tied down the canoes, AND backed out of the parking lot ALL BY OURSELVES! (Actually JoyAnne did most of it... but I was a super good watcher!)
