Pipes!!

I can't even BEGIN to name all the sprinkler problems we have had in the two years at our house! Broken pipes, broken joints, broken sprinklers.... on and on and on! For my birthday Amy gave me big rubber gloves to use for "emergencies" when I have to stick my hand down in the scary dark hole to turn the water off (it happens so often and the hole is so dark and scary!!). I am so spoiled to have Daddy-o and Kris so close and always so willing to dig in the dirt and mud for me! They are so GREAT! Well I decided since the sprinklers appear to be an on-going issue... I thought it would be handy to learn how sprinkler pipe fixing worked. How hard can it be... I've watched Dad and Kris do it BILLIONS of times!! Plus... EVERYTHING is on the Internet! If I get stuck I could look it up online! Well early this spring I noticed a patch of dirt that never dried out... I was excited! My first "test run" for sprinkler pipe fixing!! Like an expert I began digging a hole... I was totally giddy when I uncovered a pipe; i began to get more nervous when I ran into ANOTHER pipe; and I stopped digging and ran to get dad to help when I unearthed a THIRD pipe! Once the REAL expert began digging he found about SEVEN or EIGHT pipes all right in the "wet spot". Guess I'll let a pro take over on this project and I'll learn later this summer! :)
